Who is Eligible?
High school seniors who attend Harford County Public Schools and whose parents or grandparents currently work or are retired from full-time employment with the Harford County Public School System
What is Available?
Scholarships up to $3000 presented by the Harford County Retired School Personnel Association.
When are applications due?
The application deadline is March 31.
How can I apply?
Students can print and mail the application from this website. Applications are also available in all high school guidance offices. Students may also submit the electronic version of the application from this website.
What is the purpose of the scholarships?
These scholarships are a means of honoring our profession while saluting and supporting our outstanding high school seniors.
2025 Scholarship Winners

HALEY GUICHETEAU from Edgewood High School. She is the daughter of Jason and Jodi Guicheteau and Jodi is a 6th grade math teacher at Southampton Middle School. Haley ranks FIRST in her class of 296 with a cumulative GPA of 4.75 and is an AP Scholar with Honors. She plans to attend Ithaca College and major inOccupational Therapy. Active in many school honor and serviceorganizations, Haley is also a talented musician who has earned All County and State Choir recognition and was in the color guard for the school marching Band. She also served as a Harford Glen Counselor and was an active children's group leader at her church for four years.

DELANEY KLAUS from Harford Technical High School
She is the daughter of Kenneth and Corinne Klaus (Corinne is a
special education teacher) and the granddaughter of retired
paraeducator, Patricia Keckler. Delaney plans to pursue an
elementary education/special education degree at Harford
Community College and Towson University. Delaney ranks 15 in a
class of 241 students and has a cumulative GPA of 4.63. She is a wellrounded
student who has contributed many service hours to school
and community organizations as well as being a talented athlete. She
was a 4-year member of the Girls' Varsity Soccer Team and played 4
years of Girls' Basketball where she served as captain this year.

JAKE STEINMILLER from Joppatowne High School
He is the son of Brett and Jill Steinmiller and Brett is a paraeducator at
Riverside Elementary School. Jake plans to attend Goucher College
and major in the computer science/cyber security field. He ranks
FIRST in his class of 192 with a cumulative 4.73 GPA. Jake has
had dual enrollment at Harford Community College and
earned his AA degree a few days before his high school
diploma. In addition to his most rigorous academic schedule,
Jake has been a talented student athlete in soccer and
lacrosse where he served as captain in both sports. He was
also an active and contributing member of the school honor
societies and school and community service organizations.
